Ingredients

  • 4-5 small to medium Tomatoes or 1 can of drained whole tomatoes
  • 1 Onion
  • 3-4 garlic cloves
  • 2 Dried poblano chilies 
  • 1 Dried hot chili or 1 fresh jalapeño chili
  • Salt 
  • Pepper
  • Fresh cilantro if desired

Instructions

  1. Place tomatoes in a cast iron skillet with chopped onion garlic ad dried chili.
  2. Heat until the tomatoes are seared and both tomatoes ad onions soften.
  3. Put this all in a blender and puree.
  4. Add salt, pepper and cilantro to taste.
